As we head into mid-September, we are finding that mortgage rates increased slightly overall and are bringing fixed rates back in line with the widespread range of the past few months. The average 30-year fixed conforming annual percentage rate (APR) increased 0.031 percent to 3.551. In addition, the average APR for a 15-year fixed conforming APR increased 0.028 percent to 2.859 percent. Moreover, the average APR for a 30-year fixed jumbo increased 0.011 percent to 3.433 percent. We expect rates will remain relatively unchanged over the rest of the month.
