Lofts are hot. If you Google the word "lofts," you'll get 624,000 results pointing you to projects in places you would expect (San Francisco, Chicago, Manhattan) and some you wouldn't (Galveston, Texas; Tampa, Florida; Columbus, Ohio).
All over the country, warehouses, mills, factories and office buildings are being converted to residential use. In some markets, loft buildings are being constructed from the ground up with features that mimic what you'd find in converted buildings.
